does any one know what the wind/swell is like in maui around late march? i have read that its a shoulder season with a possibility of getting wind and waves .. does anyone have any ideas how strong the wind is likely to be? anywhere to get historic info?

went once early April about 10years ago - more swell at Kanaha - wind unreliable and gusty - would never go again at that time of the year -compared to July which is far more reliable very windy but less waves

Depends what you want.
Their summer from about June is stronger wind with smaller swell.
March, April, May is still good wind with a lot better swell.. although not winter size (doesn't mean it won't get huge or tiny though) but generally more manageable.
What are you after? I assume from your post you wavesail so I recommend April.
