north sail with generic mast?

Are north sails mast specific or will any constant curve mast(LOFT) do? And how about NP sails? thanks

I rig my 2006 North Warp 7.8m on a 2008 NP X6 460cm mast. I'm not sure if the mast is a bit stiff as it requires a large amount of downhaul to get a floppy leach. Perhaps that is normal with North race sails but I'm not sure. It rigs well though and is very stable.

You'll probably get a lot of different opinions about whether a particular mast (other than an NP mast) will work in NP sails. Suggest you contact Loft distributor, they would be very familiar with compatibility of Loft mast with other sail brands.

The Loft O2s I have, 7.4m, 6.6m, 5.9m, rig very well on the same NP X6. But I'm not sure if its vice versa with a Loft mast on a NP rig.
