...why everyone raves about botany bay!

picked an interesting day for my first time out there!

howling wind...with the jet engines screaming over the top when u get close to the runway just ads to the feeling of of warhhhhhhhhhh!

should have taken my smaller 5m...but only had the 5.7 with me. A bitch to uphaul [}:)] need to figure out this waterstart lark.....

The first windy day for a long time.......

Kyeemagh is a top place to windsurf but on the beach and road the environment leaves much to be desired. Imagine beachside Beirut on a public holiday and you will get a bit of an idea.

Gusty out there today! I was out there on my 6.2. Got overpowered a few times, but got a speed pb in the top corner right near the runway. Had the run to myself at around 2:30. A great sail, but I prefer a more traditional seabreeze than this unusual pressure driven nor'easter.

Botany is the best flatwater sailing in Sydney. Strongest and most consistent wind. Just get used to the smell of burnt jet fuel and rubber.
