anyone has thoughts on how to attach a gps on you while swimming-i like uploading to a site that chronicles performance..was thinking of putting the unit on top of a toy boat and leashed bout 30cm+ attached to my goggles..i saw one on a website he covered it in an aquapack and tied around his neck but basing from experience once the unit submerges or splashes in water he'll have spikes and non-recordings..sounds dumb but nada wind and i hurt my toe jogging i need to do something to spar with

Hey JP,

I had my GT31 in a back pack while jogging and didn't seem to get any spikes and tracks looked genuine on Google.
I'm back in Darwin so got too do something as there is no wind.
Should be good enough signal if attached to arm or leg to average over session.

I use a Garmin Forerunner 305. It's a watch and is designed for multi-sports like swimming, running, windsurfing etc. I swam with it all the time in triathlons and never had issues with the signal ... even keeps the signal when I go running near my house in complete tree cover ... never had any spikes with my Garmins.

Plus it has a heart-rate monitor you can get which you can also download sync'd with your track and there is a cadence you can also buy to put on your bike.

You could put it down the front of your trunks, you might get a few little spikes though.....
