I'm looking at buying a neil pryde 7.7 diablo currently using a 7.5 gastra total flow aprox 1999 or 2000 model in great condition. Would there be much difference? outher than .2 of a metre.
And then I have to convince my wife I realy need one.

Chalk and cheese.

Beer and bourbon.

No comparison.

It will be a little less powerful but have a much wider wind range.

However you do know you'll need a different mast? It won't rig anywhere near right on whatever you'd be using for the Gaastra.

Not sure the Pryde Diablo is that new either. They were quite a while ago. They had the shear tip top batten and quite a long boom length I think.

Bit hard to say - they appear to be a rebranded Italian mast so possibly made by Triana, and NP are also made there, so they may be the same bend curve. MAY BE

NP can be very tip flexy (and is virtually the opposite bend curve to old Gaastra's so they are as incompatible as you'd get)
Thus if your Gaastra total flow sets awesome on the Infinity mast then the NP would not (and vice versa)

Anyone know where the NP masts are made?
