Just wondering if anybody has any info regarding windsurfing in Dubai.
Might be moving there.
Thanks in advance.

Not a huge amount of wind 10-15 tops and too hot to sail in summer. Cousin lives there and is back home for a little rain and cold weather. They just had a run of 48+ days.
It can't be any worse than Sydney in regards to wind.
According to windfinder a 13 knot wnwer is blowing right now.
Visited there many times over the years, absolutely hate the place
Not much wind except for in the winter storms which blow in from the north, they pick up all the sand and dirt Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Iran have to offer and carry it with them then it rains a little as well meaning mud falls from the sky.
Most of the beaches cost you money to get into as well, I think there are a few free public access beaches in the strip north of the Burj Al Arab. I checked out a few of the beach club/resorts for gear hire and only found beginners gear although one of them did have a modern looking range of kite gear.
If you can get the time to get away and have gear go down to Salalah in southern Oman, during the monsoon season down there it has a far better climate and some nice long sandy beaches and cross/on winds waves looked good when i visited there last year plus up near the port there is a flat water area.
