The Rye Yacht Club wind meter has been offline for some months now.
However, their system is still capturing wind data and uploading it "somewhere", so real-time measurements can be obtained here: weatherwatcher.com.au/. It might help to expand the view, then click on the arrow under the South Channel arrow.
After the box has opened, click on the "View Details" for 3 hour historical details.

The wind-meter at South Channel, typically gave a good representation of the wind at Rye front beach. Except in a Northerly in summer, where the wind often didn't make it to the waters-edge.
