Title says it bad :
I currently have 2 boards, 1 77 mast, and the 2 boards ( Gong for freestyle winging and KT for parawinging) dont have the same mast attachment system : both US rails, but the KT one is way deeper than the Gong one, so I have to change the screws everytime. Its not much, but becomes very annoying.
So I'm thinking of buying another mast, so I just have to change the plane instead of the whole thing. Problem is, carbon is expensive (around 700, whereas alu is like 90) so I'm thinking alu.
Would it be worse to have an alu mast for wing (when I want to go fast, jump, etc) or parawing (when glide is extra important... )
Thanks

In winging you can push a mast to go faster. In parawing a slow mast makes everything harder and can even force you to size up your foil.

Depending on your weight, jumping an alu mast is asking for trouble. I am 100kg and bend alu masts in a single jump, even with foils as small as 740cm2 and 6.5AR.
