The new foils are on the KT web site now.

Does any dealer have some info on the Solus sizing compared to Nomad or Atlas foils?
I mean someone who tried the foil in Tarifa during the dealer's meeting?

I use Nomad 1160 for PW and consider a Solus but need the the same (or better) lowend to get on foil

Tx

I’ve been riding the Solus in Maui. Low end is not as good as the Nomad or Atlas. The 930 Solus has a low end that feels similar to the Atlas 790. I was riding it w the 155 Nomad tail. OTOH it has insane glide and speed.
when I tried it I was riding the Stash v2. I recently switched to the BRM S3 which makes getting up so much easier. Can’t wait to try the Solus w the S3

It's funny, old mate says how easy the Solus is to get up, despite him being a pw beginner and being under powered. That's not what I've heard anywhere else.

I’m trying to be detailed here: the Solus is a very easy to ride foil. It comes up very gradually, very easy to handle. Doesn’t feel in any way difficult. But the takeoff speed is higher than on the same size Atlas. A very imprecise comparison would be that the Solus 930 has a takeoff speed that’s similar to a 790 Atlas. That’s the best comparison I can give you.

Once you're riding swell downwind, how do you like the turning of the Solus? I'd expect glide/avg speed to be great, but is it "fun" to turn or too spanny to be playful?

My everyday foil is the Nomad 830, occasionally the Atlas 960 in super light wind, both on the 63cm fuse. I tried the short fuse but didn’t like the pitch sensitivity. So this is my comparison. I rode the 775 and 930 Solus on the short fuse and it wasn’t pitch sensitive at all. The turning is surprisingly good, but you certainly feel that it isn’t as tight turning as the Nomad (which admittedly is a ridiculous comparison). Feels more like the Atlas. That said, I was blown away how tight the 775 can be turned. 930 I started to feel the span, but still a very nicely turning foil and fun in waves on the short fuse.

You'd think a 14 AR foil would be a chore to turn, so that's encouraging! How does the low end compare on the Solus (775 and 930) with your 830 Nomad on parawing?

I didn’t ride the 775 w the parawing, conditions weren’t right when I borrowed it. The 930 has a takeoff speed that’s in between 700 and 830 Nomad. But I know my Nomad extremely well and just figuring out the 930 Solus. But it is obvious that the Solus doesn’t have the crazy Lowend of Atlas and Nomad, and it’s not designed for that. Its glide and speed are amazing and it turns really well considering its wingspan

Solus 775 with 115 pulse tail, short fuse, 50 L board. Not much turning here in this clip as the sea was too calm. But that thing is fast, super playful, and easy to ride. Turning is not an issue for sure.

Jo!
How is it with the Halo? Description sounds very good . I have the experience that a foil can surf or jump but not both in proper way. I want to be surfy and jump but Not with loosing to much glide. Anybody tested it yet? When it will be available in europe?

I have only used it on days when the sea was too flat. 670/121 here in this clip. Super comfortable feeling right away, from the first meters of riding.
