nah but i reckon corby's was real. Put there by her brother, taking over for mercedes husband to sell.

Let's assume the brother put it in there, do you think Shapelle was aware ?
It was a bloody big bag of pot. They didn't conceal it very well did they ?
I believe she is innocent. I base this solely on that IMO nobody could be that stupid to pack 4 kg's of pot into their body board cover and hope and prey they don't get searched (I'm aware this wouldn't stack up in court). It appeared way too risky. Why not pack it into the inner lining of a suitcase ?

Maybe she was that dumb.

There was the video of her and family or friends smoking pot years ago yet she claimed in court she had no idea what drugs looked like. Video very promptly squashed by the family and lawyer/s after being aired once or twice.

They all claimed it must have been the baggage handlers. Yeah right, baggage handlers sitting around with 4kg of mull packaged just right for a bodyboard cover and hoping one comes theu that day....

I find it more easy to believe she has family and friends who are druggies and she knows it..... so even if she is not a drug courier then she should have had the brains to pack her own sh!t when those close to her are users, if not dealers.

Obviously is! Remember he is only fourteen and has probably spent too any of his formative years playing computer games with eyes like pee holes. Was it just time for another lesson, did his folks get the opportunity to pay a bribe and refuse?

Bali is renowned for the ability to find drugs as this thread testifies, thanks Fly,Doc, so to say that veryone should know is not really accurate because an awful lot of people know that there is a healthy and pretty free trade in drugs as well.

I cannot find much in the way of facts. Apparenty he is from Lake McQuarie but they are not printing his name which is showing some sort of sensitivity.

Tonights news, for what it's worth, stated that he'd been asking around where he could get hold of some gear. If that's true (and I do mean if), refer to,

i reckon she didn't know. I think her brother did it schapelle has to take every member of her family on their word but it is helping drive her nuts. Her bro associated with a major producer in adelaide. Brother in law dodgy also. Has to rely on family to take her food etc but must have suspicions. My gut feeling anyway.

wouldn't do mercedies.
would do schapelle

Don't get the idea that I'd ever support the Indons. I spent a few too many months there with the Ozzie armed forces - I'd never actually pay money to go back there. Also saw that they interviewed the wrong bloke at first. But that doesn't alter the fact that kid must be completely brain dead, asking around for dope in Bali. Everyone in Oz knows, and I'd never be convinced that the kid is the only known exception. He just thought he was smarter than everyone else by half. Besides, what's a 14 year old doing procuring dope?

All that said, I hope they do get him back, and that he's smart enough to learn a lesson for life. He's still young.

When the news broke I was having dinner with a mate (and desperately trying , but failing abysmally, not to perve at his drop-dead gorgeous sister too[}:)])
our first thoughts were -where were his guardians , who would let their 14 year old kid alone over there? ... and no didn't think that at all Dins.

Well it is said that the cops had to wait for him outside a massage parlour where he got "serviced" by a 19 yo girl! (Happy ending???) WTF ??? Had no son but if I was on vacation in such a place I would make sure my teen hormones filled kids would not run amok in hooker's capital streets!!!

I agree also, when Im overseas I never play with drugs in general. You just never know what is going on. I even try and not get to p!ssed as you never know what awaits you around the next corner or ally way

Its a shame because Bali is a great place to holiday or for a surfing trip

They do warn you as you enter Bali. You pass a big sign. DRUGS ATTRACT THE DEATH PENALTY. That is enough reason for me not to get involved in any whilst there. I would of though just being there is a natural high.
Respect the laws & customs whilst in Baqli & you will have a good time.

I think the Indo government should stick to their guns on this. But at 14 do they really want to put him away for 5-6 years? Maybe stick the family with a big fine so future familys will take resposibily for their kids while on holidays.

Be careful on the Shrooms.
I read a story of some Kiwis down at Lakey that bought some from the local Sharman. Next day they returned stating that it did not affect them & wanted a stronger strain. Late that afternoon one guy was rescued trying to paddle back towards Australia.
The other guy was found rambling that he killed his girlfriend & tried to bury his Passport. The locals had to tie him up because he was creating such a scene.
I believe one of the guys ended up cooking his Brain.
Talk about stuffing a trip up.

No Rob, you got it wrong, that was Loggy and Soggy after too many Bintang's... Loggy was just paddling on the beach and saying I wish I could get back to Oz, and Soggy was rambling about how his girlfriend was going to kill him, cos he said he was going up the coast, but now he had an Indonesian stamp in his passport.

The rest is about right.

Hell probably be home soon, managed by max markinson and have a Big dollar interview on ACA or 60 minutes. shouldn't be allowed to profit i reckon - can pay the Aus govt for expenses incurred.
