The fluoride in the water is just the cheap option to give lazy slobs better teeth if you brush your teeth you will be fine . Im totaly against it . Even if we pretend there is no negatives to it forcing it on people is wrong. Why dont we just add some vitamins to the water too and maybe some fort of deodorant so every one smells nice .
I'd be more concerned about the abrasives used in toothpaste which come from ground burnt bone.
Close to the city where I was born is a big Aluminium plant, they were releasing tons of fluoride in the air and killed many square kilometre of forest all around the plant, the gov. made them have air filters and monitor the fluoride in the air. Surely it can't be that good for you if it kills the trees? And my teeth are shyte as well!
Should be a matter of choice.... if you want to take it get it from a pharmacist but do not force feed it to peeps!
Isn't there some kind of law that prohibits publishing anti fluoride research? ... you know, like you can't publish any info regarding how much the carbon tax it's going to cost or you get fined a bazillion and go straight to The Hague.
You cannot win this argument. Each side is absolutely convinced they are right and the mind closes off. The pro fluoride advocates believe they are doing the right thing. The efficacy of fluoridation in the public water system as a method of reducing dental disease has been proven beyond doubt. The anti fluoride campaigners feel that it is wrong to "force" them to drink fluoridated water as a matter of principle. It amazes me that the ant fluoride groups continually drag out unsubstantiated rumors and bizarre facts to support their side yet totally ignore the historical data. Historically fluoridation of the public water supply was brought about to help with a serious public health problem, a communicable bacterial disease most commonly known as dental caries. Damn if it did't work! More surprisingly, it was mostly done for the right reasons. No one is getting rich doing it, and it is really cheap so it is not a major tax burden. If you look at the legitimate science, there appears to be no reason to discontinue the practice. Some countries have quit fluoridating the water, those that have are most likely adding it to the salt supply, much like they add iodine to salt.
When dealing with public health issues it is very difficult to balance the freedom of the individual with the greater good of the community as a whole. The very vocal minority gets to pick and choose which public health initiative they want to see removed. This is a self centered act for the most part. Dental caries is a ....ah, what's the point. I make my living fixing this problem, so let's drop public fluoridation. Bring on the next wave of rampant dental caries and get my broker on the line.
Dear the doctor in previous threads you have asked me if I've taken my medication and I get that but this is my post and you replied to it lack of punctuation is just one of the small things that is part of being dyslexic but I have tried for years with the help of supporting friends and family to overcome it it's easier for me to convey my understanding of something as a thought process rather than structured English but please if it hurts your eyes or flouride affected brain please look away but if you are transfixed and interested at what the dyslexic nutcase on medication has to say and can't look away sort of like how you feel when your mums in the shower and your hiding in the towel closet having private time then I understand and their are people that can help you

His research was mostly mid-70s stuff.
It doesn't make it wrong, but you'd think that in the course of the last 30+ years, his theory woulda been easily confirmed at large by newer science and more studies.
His beliefs have been confirmed on numerous studies,just the corporate medical industry stand to make a killing from non disclosure.
there's fluoride in many of the things we consume; anything made or grown with town water has fluoride in it.
so all you people who think you are untainted or immune from this evil mind control plot are kidding yourselves.
