Welsh huh?

I was on overseas forums first, 99.9% seppos, so Mark Australia seemed apt. Geez.... pre- Seabreeze.com.au was a while back
Now it seems dumb when I am more active on the Aussie forum

When I was a grommie the older crew gave me a 'haircut' (mum went ape) and after the trim they reckon I looked like dr spock, so the name stuck, to this day.
They also got stickers made up for my gear 'spocktek'.
Cheers Laney!

A nickname bestowed on my rather rotund figure circa 1992 on Moreton Island (I was living the good life of a single 22 y.o.). In fact it was a retort by a girlfriend of one of my mates of "you're half man half sausage" that kick started one of my better known monikers.

He and Zorro were my favourite western characters in TV shows I watched as a kid.

He is an all round good guy just like me.

Also it is an easy name to use for a boat when calling up on VHF radio.

Thought I would be extra smart, coz I hadn't windsurfed for 20 years I would call myself after that fairy tale dude who slept for 20 years. And to be extra smart I would add a "g" to the front of the name because I was a grumpy old man.

Turns out I was wrong, the dude who slept for 20 years was Rip Van Winkle, Rumplestiltskin was the troll who promised some chick he would spin straw into gold if she could guess his name

Oh well, stuck with it now
