So How did you decide on your username?
For me well went to see my wifes family in India and discovered we really are the poor relatives.
I got stumped for ideas (or those I came up with were just stupid or unfunny) so I just used my initials... boring I know.
Boofy =Large head its what missus and kids call me my kids will often call out to me in the supermarket hey Boof can we have a kit kat
Inside a barreling wave is called the greenroom.
I also have green license plates with white letters which read GREENROOM![]()

Sometimes when someone asks how my name is spelt, I just say "Marks as in skid, not Marx as in Groucho" ![]()
I make Gizmo's and Gadgets and strange stuff for the film & TV industry, camera mounts and cranes and get some weird requests at times..... One of my big ones was the "Wheel Of Fortune" letter board.
I bought a used undercover police surveillance car from a car auction had dark tint and my mates used to spin out when i rocked up at there house.
When I was a grommie the older crew gave me a 'haircut' (mum went ape) and after the trim they reckon I looked like dr spock, so the name stuck, to this day.
They also got stickers made up for my gear 'spocktek'.

A nickname bestowed on my rather rotund figure circa 1992 on Moreton Island (I was living the good life of a single 22 y.o.). In fact it was a retort by a girlfriend of one of my mates of "you're half man half sausage" that kick started one of my better known monikers.
Marvin: You can blame the Sirius Cybernetics Corporation for making androids with GPP...
Arthur: Um... what's GPP?
Marvin: Genuine People Personalities. I'm a personality prototype. You can tell, can't you...?
He and Zorro were my favourite western characters in TV shows I watched as a kid.
He is an all round good guy just like me.![]()
Also it is an easy name to use for a boat when calling up on VHF radio.
It was the way people told me apart from RedPat at our local beach when we both started kiting at the same time.
Thought I would be extra smart, coz I hadn't windsurfed for 20 years I would call myself after that fairy tale dude who slept for 20 years. And to be extra smart I would add a "g" to the front of the name because I was a grumpy old man.
Turns out I was wrong, the dude who slept for 20 years was Rip Van Winkle, Rumplestiltskin was the troll who promised some chick he would spin straw into gold if she could guess his name ![]()

When I went to Italy for work, the Italian's actually thought my name was Simond, instead of Simon. They even put it in my email. I didn't mind. But before long, Simondo had stuck. That was 10 years ago.
