Our next Deputy PM..!! However I'm sure Senator Conroy's new media control plans will ensure that that interview is corrected for the proles (1984 again) ![]()
Gee. Is Bill Shorten married to Julia?
"My opinion is whatever she said,.. even though I don't know what she said"![]()
Now that's true dedication.
The light on the hill still burns, and thanks for asking. Has anybody noticed the bank has just dropped the interest rates that will lead to a reduction in mortgage rates, and the government are about to post a budget surplus, and the government are set to introduce the disability insurance scheme, and the NBN rollout is looking good, and the PM announces the withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan, and the mining tax to be introduced in the budget, and the government presiding over an economy that's the envy of the world...............but hang on lets talk about Peter Slippers cab charge bills
. We must get our priorities right.
Logman...don't be ridiculous! Why would the news cover the good stuff?? There's no mock outrage to be had there. Noone's interested in that! Sheesh! ![]()
Logman I agree, the light still burns and the perspective has been lost.
People are feeling pizzed off because they aren't getting their fair share of the current mining boom - and where is it going? Into the pockets of a very few.
The minerals are there and are ours (read poplulation 22 million). The large oil nations don't let their resouces go in bulk for no national good and neither should we.
The current collective of Australian mining company heads seem to be a group of totally ignorant, fat, selfish, acquisitive whingers. Their aim is a desperate attempt to cash in now and to cry foul when they feel that their sense of entitlement is threatened.
Just the same way people will still barrak for Richmond no matter how crap they are, logman will still vote labor.
Logman...
All the talk about Communist plots make the debate all the more bizzare.
The MRRT isn't about collective ownership of anything other than sharing the wealth created by the resources that we all already own.
It's sad how one rotten apple can destroy the whole tree.
The rotten apple in this case being a Mr G Richardson.
Looks to me like the the dim light is about to be snuffed out.
- Nationals MP Tony Crook has joined the Coalition in Federal Parliament.
- Craig Thomson and the waste of time HSU saga.
- Peter Slipper.
- Bob Brown, the puppet master, handing the reins (literally) to Christine Milne.
Inability to supply for the Labs.
Julia's ability to dig her hole deeper is astounding and entertaining. I was not around when Whitlam got the boot, but I think there's a good chance we could see something exciting like that all over again!
