Wind veins always point to where wind is coming from. It always confuses me looking at the sea breeze arrows, it feels all backwards. Can i swap it?
eg. I would like the arrow to point to the North when the wind is coming from the north (arrow pointing up)
Only the arrowhead on a windindicator/windex points into the wind. I would hazard to suggest that all met forecasts, grib files etc use the convention that the arrow points in the wind direction not in the opposite direction as per a windex. If you changed Seabreeze then it would be inconsistent and cause confusion to everyone but you.
I would like the option to customize how i see seabreeze. It allows customisation of arrow colour (red cann indicate stron/dangerous wind or no wind)
I do agree on a map it should show direction of movement, but on the graphs i am alluding to there is no background and i think it should follow wind vain conventions.
At the moment the arrow points south of the computer screen indicating wind from north. Don't get how that is logical at all.
Hey salt,
It indeed would be good, unfortunately, it's a very rare request.
What you might need to do is rotate your desk 180' to help it all make sense. ![]()
if i said which way is the wind coming from which way would you point?
- you would point to the wind like a wind vain.
You guys are just used to it being the wrong way around, like old dogs and new trix.
I got some colleagues from work to guess the wind direction by looking at this weeks forecast on seabreeeze and they all had the same thought as me, an arrow pointing north of the computer screen should mean wind is coming from north.
I should point out again i am not referring to maps but only the x,y axis graphs, here: www.seabreeze.com.au/graphs/vic.asp
.
I have seen only red arrows for months.
So I don't give a hoot which way the green is pointing, so long as it is green.
Mmmmmm green.
!! lol wait untill you swim for 2 and a half hours before you critisize the wind sharts!!! lollllllllll
