Seems the clandestine involvement of the CIA in drugs has gone viral - looks like it might be a production arm of the United States Army![]()

Has seabreeze become conspiracy central??
Same posters seem to thrive on this sh1t.
How about a change of theme for once?
It is myth that the ostrich "puts his head in the sand".
What is true is that baby ostriches, when running fom danger in a clutch, will all suddenly drop to the ground and lay their heads flat whilst the adult parents fake broken wings.
Lends a heap more meaning to the expression![]()
Ex CIA people have admitted use of the narcotics trade to make money for covert ops and to assist in overthrow of Govt's they didn't like. They admitted that many years ago, FOI dodumnets have shown it happened, it is fact, but it is so unlikely to happen now that it is not worth even considering
Besides, as we all know, they made all their real money with patents for velcro and microwave ovens with technology from the spacecraft at Roswell ![]()

Typical conspiracy freak approach.
Provide no proof except random YouTube videos.
Abuse anyone who doesn't agree or requires actual evidence.
Abusive comments really enhance your paranoid arguments.
Humans should be free to experiment anything they want without any threat from police
For alcohol and drugs we should get a license with proper education.
Each time someone gets drunk and get involve in a fight, police should confiscate his drinking license or dope license for 2 years or so
This way there will be no drug dealer gangs, there will be no drunken street fights.
What is the point of checking your driving license when you want to enter a night club?
It was only a matter of time before the good old CIA got a good airing. Don't you Freaks understand "THE POWERS THAT BE" ARE CONTROLLING EVERYTHING WE THINK and its up to you , the chosen few , the only ones that can lift the veil from our eyes, Oh, please help us cheesy freaks.
I'm not sure but my understanding is that the CIA do not have a global enforcement role. If someone is selling drugs in another country and it's not affecting America, than they don't actually care. They have strategic goals and they do tactical things to get these strategic goals. In theory the strategic goals are only slightly morally questionable and then the tactical things just follow rules that set a moral floor like don't torture (supposedly introduced recently)
So your proposal that the CIA ignore, collaborate with, don't check if people do or don't deal drugs, work with people that do deal drugs etc is not new. They deal with foreign mobsters, armed mercenaries and terrorist groups if they think it will get them to their strategic aims.
Hardly much of a conspiracy if you ask me.
Agree with UP. Thats good thinkin. The amount of alcohol fueled violence where I live is out of control and the justice system is week as piss. Just slap em on the wrist let em back out there. A license to drink won't solve all the problems but at least they won't be back out there the next day pissed and glassing people.
Sorry to get of subject but thats the most sensible idea I've heard for ages.
UP for PM.
Not for one moment doubting the CIA and other government agencies aren't involved in the drug trade, be it for gain or for attempted control of the industry and for obtaining information but
- come on -
'....Project Camelot is based on an idea generated when we first met and spent the weekend in Tintagel, England, overlooking the sea in the home of King Arthur ....'
King Arthur never existed. There was never a king of england or of wessex called Arthur. He was created by the english chivalry movement of the middle ages as a fashionable and popular hero.
It is exactly the same as people in 400 years time saying there was a great warrior called the Terminator, who turned from evil to good and eventually became the ruler of the great country of california. Arguably some grain of basis of the story, but not exactly true.
No doubt there was one or more leaders of tribes in pre-roman southern england who can be linked to the name Arthur in some strenuous way. But there was no Arthur of the legend, no round table and no camelot.
If you wish to look back on the glory times of chivarly and knights in shining armour then even King Alfred and his grandson King Athelstain (?) who were the first great 'english' kings (Alfred only of wessex, his grandson eventually conquering Danelaw and uniting england for the first time) and they really pre-date the knight in shining armour period by 200 years.
Canute was also a great english king of that tradition, although originally a Dane.
Cite the existance of your organisation on medieval fiction and expect what you say to be taken seriously ?
Maybe they need to employ a historian instead of graduates of sociology with dodgey MBAs in 'buisness' and spend time educating themselves rather than smoking pot at Tintagel. I expect they nipped down to Tresurfit or up to Spekes while they were there for quick surf, (like all the other tourists) and pissed off some locals.
A mate of mine has this idea that there should be sort of odds and even days, where only sober people can drive on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. and Pissed people only can drive on Tues,Thurs, and Sat morning. Then the cops could breathe test people on the "even" days and if any alcohol is detected a large fine is levied and, likewise if the coppers test someone on an "odds" day and their under .05 then equally a large fine follows. My friend's theory also extends to weekends where Saturdays afternoons are a stoners only . And Sundays are reserved for dope fiends the Chinese and Liberal voters (his theory here is that the Chinese, smackers and Liberal voters have a "mind Meld" going on and seem to understand each other perfectly). I might bring up this theory at a local Labor party policy committee.
Its not that i dont necesarrily believe in the conspiracy theories, its just that i plain dont care.
Well, as Mark pointed out it certainly has happened before.
For example The British Government and the creation of Hong Kong:
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Opium_War :
"Instead, the Sino-British trade became dominated by high-value luxury items such as tea (from China to Britain) and silver (from Britain to China), to the extent that European specie metals became widely used in China. Britain had been on the gold standard since the 18th century, so it had to purchase silver from continental Europe and Mexico to supply the Chinese appetite for silver, which was a costly process at a time before demonetisation of silver by Germany in the 1870s.
In casting about for other possible commodities to reverse the flow of silver out of the country and into China, the British decided on opium. Opium as a medicinal ingredient was documented in texts as early as the Ming dynasty but its recreational use was limited and there were laws in place against its abuse. It was with the mass quantities introduced by the British motivated by the equalisation of trade that the drug became prevalent. British sales of opium in large amounts began in 1781 and between 1821 and 1837 sales increased fivefold. The drug was produced in traditionally cotton-growing regions of India under British government monopoly (Bengal) and in the Princely states (Malwa) and was sold on the condition that it be shipped by British traders to China. The Qing government had largely ignored the problem until abuse of the drug had spread widely in Chinese society.
