met this dude from the army a few years back whilst torturing myself by spending a few weeks around rockhampton/biloela/blackwater/emerald...
he was adamant there giants in the solomons and there were those in the adf who knew well they were there and to leave them and the area well alone...
i had no reason not to believe him, he was articulate enough for someone who was probably about 80% alcohol...
i started checkin it out for myself (only on line though, never been to solomons- yet)....

I must say, certainly some interesting reading, my childlike imagination was running a muck..........
It almost sounded convincing, and i was starting to buy it................
