Wahine...sorry to advise but you are not in a unique situation...there are dozens of single women who are into kitesurfing and other water sports.
Don't you know when you just suck it up and get on with your life then the man of your dreams will just 'appear' when you least expect it.
you also have to remember that no one else can make you happy....you have to do that for yourself even when you are in a relationship.
if your home town really is as small as you say then what have you got to loose by some online stalking oh I mean dating
