Don't cheap it and get a M3, if you're going to do it, do it properly. Trust me you will not regret it, It's a shame they are still quite expensive over here, in the UK you can get one for around 20k pounds.
The car looks like a standard bmw, with the only clue being the M5 badge and the size of the disc brakes, but put ya foot down and all 300kw of naturally aspirated power kicks in and it's just total class.
As for your daughter, a yarris is great.
