My mate now 43 has been eating takeaway pretty much every single day since he left high school, washed down with soft drink.

Mostly McDonalds/Chickentreat which for him is used as an anti-depressant more than nutrition!

Remember when he was a 75kg teenager i challenged him to a sprint at the cricket club. He beat me all ends up by around 20metres---he now plays tennis, cannot run just shuffles.

Now he weighs in at 145kg and he knows the junk food is killing him.

He stopped the daily takeaway/softdrink few years ago when around 125kg,replaced it with water and veggie pizza. Also started walking nearly 2 hours daily.

Result was he dropped to 105kg.

So in approx 3 years he has balloned an additional 40kg or a kilogram plus a month.

Read other day in the last 50 years average adult weight has increased by 3 stone, that is around 20kg.

The great taste has consequences.

Almost all studies done on meat taste tests show that people prefer the taste of meat after it has been hanging in a cool room for about TWO WEEKS!
So no, I don't think it will catch on .

Anyone who lives on this stuff is working their way towards an early demise.
And worse than that, they are a drain on the public health system while they are on their way. And worse than that, they are driving the cost of my health insurance up by being such fat unhealthy slobs.
Once a month ok.
Once a week ,.. hmmm maybe.
Two or three times a week, definitely not.
Every day?? You've got to be joking.

Gee, I think I might have just agreed with pm33.
It might be time to nip out and shoot myself.

I've just gone two years without HJ, McDonalds, Chicken Treat, KFC etc etc, I was putting on 1-2 kg a year since I left school, I've stopped that and am currently sitting at what weight I was about ten years ago. Everytime I drive past Maccas I long for a large double quarter pounder meal, but I know if I have one I'm in trouble. [}:)]

The new HJ's barramundi burger is not bad - real aussie barra, apparently.

It the chips & coke that push the calories above what you really need, unless you've got a triathlon planned between afternoon meetings.

Maccas is for pussies.

Hit up Novembars in Morely for the fat boy burger challenge. For a real protein hit. Puts hairs on the chest.

If they say "beef" or "meat" it has to be fleshy muscle bits by law.

All the above can only be used if they say "meat products" and I'm pretty sure anus and genitals can't be used for anything.

2 words: Drive Through

One word:
DRIVE-THRU

The drive through pick up just removes the last shred of exercise some of these people get.
You see them lined up sitting in cars waiting at the drive through with their fat guts up against the steering wheel, and then a supersized arm comes out the window to pick up bagfulls of fried grease on buns, fried chips in grease, and for desert, frozen sugary whipped grease in a cup, washed down with cold sugary fizzy water.
Geeez! At least get out of the car and walk to the counter to pick it up. It might use just one or two of the 5000 calories that you are about to stuff in your gob.

I don't understand why McDonalds makes people so fat. I sometimes have McDonalds for lunch as there is one across the road from where I work. One of their value meals doesn't really satisfy as much as a donar kebab or a proper hamburger from a takeaway.

Also a decent meal at home like a steak with vegetables is much more satisfying.

Personally I think you can eat whatever you like as long as you are reasonably physically active, ie doing the equivalent of a 10km walk every day. The problem is many people are eating for a labourer while working as a clerk.

I don't really get that video. Someone putting some lamb carcasses out front of a McDonald's restaurant. Is that mean to scare people away? You see sides of beef, lamb or pork in the average butchers.

Its faster to go through the drive in than go in and wait at Maccas. The one in North Perth is always so slow if you go in, I think they do it that way so you dont go in.

People love their takeaway junk food,it's convenient and the taste!

They then do a psyop on themselves, that's it not that bad---really.

Much in the same way that pweedas does a pysop on himself regarding building 7,that it wasn't a CD.

You see, if it makes them feel good, they will go there,no matter how ludicrous their psyop is.

Actually a little surprised that pweedas doesn't do a psyops on himself regading junk food too!

Some just don't care, others are just too damn dumb.

Eating animals fed GM corn and kept in inhumane confined conditions is not bad---really.

Thanks Pweet. I needed a good laugh.

I'll be more convinced of your totally non convincing argument when I see your famous "mini nukes" used in even just one other application.

Gee this picture looked disgusting when I first saw it this afternoon. I wasn't at all hungry then.
It's t time now and I'm starving.. That hamburger looks delicious.
All that GM corn fed beef, probably full of growth hormones and antibiotics, dripping all over with melted hydrogenated plastic cheese.
Yum yum! I could eat one right now.
Do they have a drive through?

I had a diet/calorie counter book a while back, and surprisingly some of the burgers are reasonably low in fat. Unfortunately you add the chips and coke, and it just blows it out. If you were so inclined, you could eat at those places a lot and still eat reasonably healthy. It's just that most people don't.

I saw at HJ's the other day that the veggie burger has higher energy than the Whopper.
Prolly the veggie pattie soaks up fat (as mashed veggies would I guess) and all the carbs in it

All that tells me gcdave, is that maccas must use great quality ingredients to last 4 years!

Btw, I don't get how the guest can be an "obesity activist" and obese herself? Not a personal attack by any means, as I'm in the 'obese' category as well according to my BMA.
