Would someone please advise when will the AGM Agenda and the Financial Reports for the year ended September 2008 be issued ? Usually these are issued prior to the AGM for Members to review and ask questions, appoint proxies and nominate for positions.
Given AKSA has had nearly twelve months since the last year end surely the Financial Reports can be released immediately.
Just a small but maybe important point I understand this is not "2009" AGM but is really the 2008 AGM being held very late. Maybe a bit like the Turkey website reference - another small oversight.

Oversight - sorry not so as AKSA Committee Members have an obligation to all Members to fulfill their duties. It's tough when you do not know what you are doing and the Associations Incorporation Act catches up to you.
And once again those who clearly do not like the truth are back to personal abuse.

Thank you Wave S - Well might those like Airush continue on with personal barbs but all AKSA Committee members should now know they are on notice from the NSW Office of Fair Trading that they must lift their game.

And please note Sec 91 of the Associations Incorporations Act – which reads.

91 Offences by committee members
(1) If an association contravenes, whether by act or omission, any provision of this Act or the regulations, each committee member of the association is taken to have contravened the same provision if he or she knowingly authorised or permitted the contravention.
(2) A person may be proceeded against and convicted under a provision pursuant to subsection (1) whether or not the association has been proceeded against or convicted under that provision.
(3) In the case of a contravention of section 40, each person who, pursuant to subsection (1), is taken to have contravened that section is, together with the association, jointly and severally liable for all debts incurred by the association as a consequence of that contravention.
(4) Nothing in this section affects any liability imposed on an association for an offence committed by the association under this Act.
(5) For the purposes of this section, an association's public officer (not otherwise being a committee member) is taken to be a committee member.


No wonder the AKSA so called Board volunteers are running for cover as they now know they have persistently and knowingly breached the NSW Associations and Incorporations Act.

Members of the AKSA Board such as Puppet, Flying Kiwi, Paulio and Airush whilst may have great intentions they simple do not know their obligations to Members under the law. For the most basic stuff have a look at the AKSA "new" website - the content is two years out of date........go figure........

At the forthcoming AKSA AGM [Agenda yet to be issued and when is a mystery] the opportunity exists for the old guard to move on and let others have a go and …maybe take the flack......but as long serving vocal AKSA Board members as Puppet, Kiwi, Paulio and Airush many people are now asking "what do AKSA have to hide"?

Yeah what do AKSA have to hide when I was properly voted on in June 2008 to the AKSA team as Treasurer and never allowed access to the AKSA accounts?

And please do not destroy/lose the AKSA financial records as happened in KBV prior to 2008 by again “long serving Board Members”. PM if you want the detail on who had their figures in the KBV till and “lost” the records.

Yeh guys you want to play personal [Airush] – you as an AKSA Board Member may well do that but as I and others see it unfortunately it only reflects upon your own misguided approach to this matter - in the meantime answer the questions as Saffer and Wave S have requested.

Thank you Airush – your response has an air of panic in it. I hope you were not on the AKSA Board when some of this stuff went down – or just maybe you were…….but if a new SA Rep has taken over as per the ‘new” AKSA Website have you advised him of his obligations.

In November 2008 I recall you wrote to me presumably as an AKSA Board Member stating “Your points are fair and valid. Your way of dealing with people is inflammatory, time consuming and unnecessary – please understand that this is not an attack but a request to give the board a chance to do what needs to be done- but not as a knee jerk reaction to criticism.”
Unfortunately when there is an elephant in the room it’s a bit hard to continue to dance around it without someone stating the obvious.

And to suggest you removed yourself “from anything to do with AKSA quite some time ago because of constant harassment” just does not wash as a defence. It was not harassment but me stating the bleeding obvious – AKSA was operating illegally – and you as an AKSA Board Member were then part of the process and had a chance, privately, to fix it. From my observation you did nothing but run away.

Now Airush you wade back onto Seabreeze and have a go at me personally while I raise genuine concerns. You have, as an ex AKSA Board Member. therefore put yourself back in the square.

If you take what I state as “attacks” then we have different definitions. I am looking for the facts. The fact is you as an AKSA Board Member, in June 2008, did not allow me to take up my rightful Treasurer’s position. Who “attacked” who?

Now a very simple question - not an attack – in the entire time you were on the AKSA Board, and by your own admission that would be from June 2008 to March 2009 [six months ago], did you ever receive a copy of any monthly financial statements related to AKSA?

And yes once gain predictable in offering that I am providing "a spiteful, bitter old mans hateful ramblings". Just give me and the Members generally the facts.

Robert- you are from a world where things work differently. There is no air of panic in my response simply a statement of a fact.

I am sick to death of this- what do you think is going on here, the aksa board members stealing member funds ? Honestly- I gave up my time to try and foster a growth in the sport I love. All that ended up happening was dealing with your crap- ffs what is wrong with you ? if there is no conflict you are not happy...you thrive on this negativity...personally I have better things to do.

And we wonder why it is so hard to get "good people" in to lead AKSA / the state kiting groups.

Maybe the some of the haters should step up and give some of their time to make things better, rather than just flaming away...

Thanks Galah for the lead in - what you suggest is exactly what I have attempted with AKSA after some time on the KBV Committee.

You need to check the history - I stood for and was voted on as AKSA Treasurer in June 2008 - when I sought access to the AKSA books I was denied access. No “flames” up until then. But by year end, after repeated attempts to obtain access to AKSA’s books, the NSW OFT got involved in December 2008.

The previous Treasurer of AKSA - Big Wave Dave - can provide answers to what he did as AKSA Treasurer as he would not tell me. He resigned in January 2008 and there has been no Treasurer since despite my appointment in June 2008.

I am certainly not a "hater" but want answers to very simple questions about the operations of AKSA. And many others who have PM'd me and who have made entries similar to mine also want answers. It' that simple.

Gee, getting all the aksa members to WA just in time for our season is cheap if the "vounteers" are paying???? BUT who is paying and what is going on is not forthcoming.

Company/organisation rules are about transparency.....Mabe Rob has some experience in this and resigned because of the red tape????? If you dont know how corporate culture works when things get bad. keep your comments to yourself.

Dont be a puppet ( althought puppet is the most pragmatic person in AKSA that I know, and wants to make a difference). I didnt want to get into this political bulls%$t but if RobR was making defammatory comments that were unjustified, wouldn't he be sued or barred by now????
