I'm sure the movie night was a great success, well done.

Hopefully my other half came down and picked up my CD.

The wind will be in Perth soon enough..........8 days till I leave Eurofagland. I promise to bring wind and warm weather.

An awesome movie, and everything I hoped. Lots of wicked waves, waves that get the heart going, mega wipeouts, and heaps of awesome coastline. Well received with a heap of applause, and yelling out during the show.

It's a perfect movie in the leadup to summer, a movie to get you charged up & going harder this year. Bringing back all those memories of summers solid reliable breezes, sunset kites, awesome waves & good times...

Great turnout .. 300+(?) kiters .. FTI was overloaded with crew sitting in the isles...

Get behind an Aussie kiter putting a world class DVD together, and grab a copy from the Seabreeze Shop

i thought tony was going for a world record on fastest speed by a t-shirt. that last one he threw i think he got a little bit excited :P

from my estimations there was about 100 or so kiters . 300 is a bit over the top laurie :P

From where I sat, looked like that last bloke copped that shirt fair & square in the noggin .. was a good chuck.

I quickly guestimated 16 seats/row by 16 rows plus sitters&standers.. (~300) I'll meet you at 250, and throw (in) a shirt. (know anybody who wants some jousting sticks? )

thanx to everyone that came- really happy with the turn out and couldnt of asked for it to go better. hope everyone had a good night. dvds are ready to post now through seabreeze.com.au so grab one if your keen. also should start to get copys in shops over the next few weeks. if any shops also would like to get hold of some copies email me on [email protected] thanx again.

ps. as for numbers im not sure exactly. venue has 130 seats, plus we put another 20 or 30 seats at the back. plus crew sitting at front, standing at the back and everyone that sat in the aisle. my guess somewhere between 200-240 or there abouts.

Great flic

Did worry about Ry when he was spotted loitering in a heavily graffitied urban underpass near the start of the movie and feared we might be watching a Ben Cuisins like ' how drugs can f--k you up' doco. but no our star was soon back in the sunshine shredding in his trade mark tee-shirt [even in winter].

I really admire his pioneering spirit in searching out those new spots like the South Coast slab, but afterwatching that stomach churning wipeout [the whole audience collectively groaned] I don't think we should worry about the spot getting crowded anytime soon. That shot was as effective as showing a Great White in the shorebreak.

Some great angle shots too from hand held and nose mounted go pros.[Nice one Dale].

Good ad for WA too with Nice juxtaposition of wildlife and nature against the shots of Kiting.

All in all a great night and a landmark 'Wave-kite' movie. Only downside........... the number of people that will want to come and get a bit of WA for themselves

great screening, well done to all involved. Great to see familiar beaches and waves, and that grommie with an ear to ear smile as he struggled up the steps with his massive freebie boardbag...how stoked was he! Stoke is what its all about.

wind please Laurie

my only criticism and ryland admitted this was i did feel it was a little disjointed . I totally understand what happens when the person who is filming it and knows how they want the movie to turn out and doesn't edit it , it does loose that certain something .

The firework fight did make me lol and think of thailand :)
