That is the whole idea, so you don't have to filter through posts about topics that have no interest to you. For example if you were into mountain biking you wouldn't want your cycling forum to contain threads about road racing or bmx. They need there own sections. If you still want to read those threads, there just a click away.

Dont quite get where directional fits into all of this? Directionals used for a lot more than just riding waves.

Also why would a wave section not include strapped riders?
