Flat water - 20 knots is wakestyle heaven
Choppy water no waves - Dangle delight
Surf - 20 knots unhook and no straps
Surf - 30 knots hooked and straps and speed
Weekend flat water - 20 Knots build slder and have some fun.
Why limit yourself to one style unless you are completely stoked on it at in that season. 
I think sliders rock and until you hit one don't knock them
