Careful.... the last time someone tried to delete a topic, the thread ran ten pages long

Ready everyone? ![]()
I have.
But it was a little floating fishing pier. about 2m wide and 3foot high.
But none the less it was still a pier.... or was it a jetti?
I'm claiming the peir jump.
The rock spit bw beach 2 across to the flat side at Woodies was hero act back in the day when all kiters were gay old school exhibitionists.
Didnt see it myself but I heard tell of one those gay old-schoolers who actually did a deadman across it.
Possibly the VB man???? Anyone know.
This was also the old-school time when we didnt have a camera in our faces every minute we spent on the water. Pity about that.
i have tried our local jetty ( about 15 feet high and 40 across) i can get the height but not the distance or the distance not the height i have come to the conclusion i am a wusss and have a agina. will have to settle for mangroves![]()
few weeks ago there was a bunch of frenchies flailling about the kite spot..
this one dude tried a jump up wind, caught an edge and got pole axed in front of me
i jumped him and carried on my merry own way
later when i was packing up, he came past and apologised for getting in the way..
his name was pierre
does that count...?
he was one lucky mofo...^
wondering if he tried that again? great kiter though, and I think his kite company is doing okay...
Why would you try to jump a pier?
Its like trying to stick your wang in a sleeping crocodiles mouth: you might make it out ok but if something goes wrong, your a dickless douche bag for the rest of your life!
If you get it right, people will clap.
If you get it wrong, people shake there heads and say "what an idiot" while you get to sit there in pain! No symathy for the stupid.
The risks and dangers outweigh the Glory IMO.
^^^
Touché! I will consent to that point.
I would say thought that although I have no desire to jump a pier, I would t stop someone else from doing it. Completely up to them if they want to take that risk.
What I was getting at is the risk/reward ratio does not seem right for me to jump a pier.
Hence, the thread asks "has anyone jumped a pier before" and to that I say no, I haven't. I don't see the point!
