can everyone please keep an eye out for this guy. probably one of the nicest blokes you will ever meet. he has a silver prado and is tall and built. his name is john pirona and is usually a regular around the beaches.
thanks jack
yeah ditto.Hopefully he has headed up the coast chasing the big swell . A friend of my sister went missing for a few days a few weeks back and all was good and he turned up safe and sound .John left his phone charger in my car when we went to the snow a few weeks back and he has been trying to catch up to get it back so that at least explains why his mobile is out.He spoke to Amanda on Sat arv and sounded fine

Hi all, I'm John's sister - I have joined this forum in the last couple of days in a "clutching at straws" effort to connect with anything that might point us towards John's location ... thankyou all so much for your kind words about John and your efforts and concern regarding his safety. We are at a loss as to where to continue searching for John and we are just so scared and worried about our amazing and greatly loved brother/son. Please, if any of you can think of anything at all, no matter how small, that might help us find him would you please let me know through this forum? Or contact the police asap? John has been gone for five days now. If any of you know of any secret spots he loved or can recall any conversations where he may have mentioned something we would be eternally grateful to you for your help!! And while we are so grateful to all those who have been searching for John please continue to do so. We want him found so badly it hurts. Big thanks to you all, cheers.
Great to see u here sister
We have all been talking behind the scenes trying our best to come up with some help.
Todays paper and the news tonight though has helped us understand his situation and has been a bit of a surprise.
Since ur new here, dont forget to check ur messages in your profile in case somebody emails you a private message.
If u need any help at all just let us know through here as most of us kiters in newy will drop everything to help a great bloke.
Perhaps some pics of John and his car or kite would be a good idea? Im in QLD but you never know and a NSW plated grey Prado would stand out.
I really hope John is just ripping it up some wear and will be home soon!
Hopefully he's just taking some time out. I can imagine the worry his family is going through, terrible...
Fingers and toes crossed.
Rest In Peace.
Condolences to this man's family.
Also hoping that the Priest that caused this man's pain will one day be jailed and eventually rot in hell.
So very sad. My deepest sympathy to John's family.
When will the Catholic Church face up to its' responcibility for these horrible crimes against children?
very sad news, my heart just sank when i read that article what a terrible loss
Condolences to family and friends.
RIP mate
Some weeks back, a topic was opened regarding the Catholic Church's covering up of pedophelia, tax evasion, and money laundering. The church was likened to the mafia. Both are organised crime syndicates. The topic was removed!
Yet here we are...discussing the heinous crimes committed against innocent people.
What gives?
If the public are made more aware of such abuse and the subsequent covering up by the Catholic Church, then people like John Pirona, suffering such internal pain may not resort to suicide.
rip, so sad, the pope should be personally held accountable for the actions his priests, like a ceo of any other organisation would be.
Rip John.my deepest sympathy to John,s family and friends and particularly his girls who he adored ,a catastrophe andTragic loss. I,ve known John for the last couple of yeArs ,not well but he was always good value and he ripped in the waves .Kiting gave him much joy.A few weeks ago John joined me on asnowkiting trip.I thought I would share this as hopefully it can help ease the pain for all of you.John and I had a great trip and we didn,t stop talking , warts and all John had an incredible insight and outlook on life ,his enthusiasm and positiveness despite the challenges that life has dealt him were immense .His capacity for compassion and forgiveness were immense and were the measure of the man.He had no hatred for the people who had made his life so painfull. He loved his family and friends immensely and his advice that the only person who suffers when harborring hatred was the poor bugger who had suffered and had every right to feel that way,but that the best thing was to let it go,great advice. He did feel very strongly about the shortcomings of the catholic church and I feel that it is the whole communities responsibility to really put this organization under intense scrutiny and to no more accept their BS excuses and lack of compassion so that they can save their own skin.It is my intention to honor John by making it my duty to his memory to help make this so ,enuf said here. I,d like to share some of this wonderful trip.Thredbo and the Ramshead range is a wonderful part of Australia sharing my passion with John was awesome .He took to the snowboard like a kid in a lolly shop .I,ll never forget the grin on his face when I returned after a few runs to see how he was doing on Friday flat,he,d mastered it and was ready to take on the mountain .After bashing around the mountain on the first day the poor fella was exhausted battered and bruised, but he still managed to make friends with just about everyone in the lodge that night .The next day he was ready to snow kite and take on the Ramshead range .the conditions were perfect and he went well. .after a couple of hours there wasn't,t much petrol left in the tank but he managed to follow me up to the Ramshead .We Marvelled at the serenity and beauty of the place .I feel so previledged to have spent this time with John and we became good friends .I will miss John immensely.
Baptized as a catholic I have no faith in this institution anymore. I wish you all the best of your quest Mr Float and let me know if and when I can help in your endeavor. They need to be held accountable and shown for the hypocritical bigots they are.
My heart goes out to his family and friends, and I agree the last two weeks you spent with him will be a precious memory.
R.I.P. Johny
Our deepest sympathy to all of John's family and friends..
