Its a different trick... and takes a totally different set of skills to do it. A loop is a loop.
By your own theorising it would be like calling a really big pete-rose a Ultra-rose... which is just stupid, so stop trying to dig your way out of the situation you have now got yourself into and give up.
well last time i checked taking off from your toes is considerably harder than heels and it is a different load up and pop, the flip is different for a pete too.
mobius is a roll similar to cartwheel rotation followed by a slightly off axis front 3.
pete you do a end over end flip like a toe tantrum almost then spin a toe front 3 landing back into a blind position if you were to spin that way from heel. two completely different tricks and it makes sense.
just putting it out there i been giving hadlow heeps of props for the way he's changed his riding and how he has been riding most of the time now.
its ok i can understand you want to stand up for your boyfriend and it's ok im not judging you.
If someone throws a backroll off a doubleup and gets twice as high as they normally do off the wake, do they call it a megaroll?
nah rowdy you got it wrong.
the megaroll is what you call it on the boat's double up.
then when you kite you go into waves where there is a big backwash, when the backwash hits a wave and it peaks up crazy you hit that and do the exact same trick and claim a new name because you did it flying a kite and then you call it the Bosch-Ultra-roll
Bosch, Mobius..
Any more funny sounding names?
I suppose Bosch wasn't inspired by the big German company?
How the **** would I know? Go ask him yourself.
p.s. Toeside raley with an Indy is called a Batwing... I don't think wakeboarders are any less stupid in naming things (i never said they weren't) but just because they do stupid sh!t doesn't mean we should do even Stupider sh!t...
Only kiteboarders would take another boardsport trick done with horizontal pull (or no pull at all) and call it the same when done dangling off a kite.
Its no where near the same as evidenced by watching Hadlow wakeboard or cable.
That is why wake style riders hate other kiters claiming tricks when half the trick is done hanging from the kite. It makes the sport look fake and lame to other boardsport cuz they do their tricks with no verticall pull and they think they would be easy to do if i could hang off the kite like that..
Hooked in grabs off pop are about as boring as watching a skateboarder ollie off a gutter.
Calling it a megaloop is silly because its a just a big hooked in kiteloop (done on a 7m)
If Hadlow starts doin them on full size kites and unhooked the whole time that is more worthy of the megaloop name but even then its still just a kiteloop, and its all been done before.
yer he was meant to spin the 7, go look later in the vid there is another one.
but im pointing out look at the crazy pull he gets, that would have to fit the definition of this "mega" loop but it is still just a kiteloop. I'd much rather watch crazy sh!t like that but i guess for some reason people just assume it's not as good because he's not as high in the air.
I know what you mean about the knees, i blew mine out doing stupid loops aswell and took me off the water for nearly 8months, it's not worth it for a trick that was pretty easy to learn.
I just wanted to respond to this lame ass thread, But in the end , I had Nothing hater-enough to add.
I luv big air... you go guys! I luv all of 'em...I even got the Len10 harness....
And if Hads brings out a wetty with over shorts, I'll buy that too...
I'm so cool...
He spins the bar after the loop while he's still in the air. Its officially a megaloop because all he had to do was add a bar spin to create a new trick according to the official wakeboarding rules. Technically its a kiteloop to barspin.
