Kitemare at Pt Walter was caused by a "SUICIDE" leash (named for good reason) and a lot different form a SAFETY leash.

no its not... its the exact same thing, literally the EXACT same piece of equipment... you just clip it to a different part of the bar.. so there is just a tiny difference in it's use. nothing different on the safety aspects.

why is suicide a good name for it? i been using it for years and haven't offed myself yet...

I recon you should invent something like the air bag Slave.

To get you started...think explosives, some sort of a panic button or pressure point that blows the friggen kite away from you.

Good on you to get us thinking during this windless period.
