Can someone please put some sort of ban on tha arragant drips who think they have some special gift to bestow on the kiting comunity. Their only special gift is to consistantly annoy the hell out of the average kiter!
They have this misguided belief that their way is "THE" way & everyone who doesn't follow is somehow inferior. NO, I'm not refering to old Adolf, though he did have a certain style about him.
Someone'll post a pic of someone doing some hell move & these jerks will rubbish them cause they're not doing it the "CORRECT" way.
I'd bet missionary is the full extent of their portfolio.
In my view there's only 4 Golden rules to kiting
Don't hurt anyone
Have a shipload of fun
If there's even the slightest chance someone is watching, do something spectacular
Don't waste wind, it's a precious resource
& whether you point your toes or pout your lips don't really matter to me

Will someone please put some sort of warning on this site to tell the obvious noobs it is an "internet discussion forum". It's not a pat on the back, blow every pro lemon party. This topic comes up every couple of months, and is usually instigated when anyone questions anything done by a "pro" that someone else on here is star struck by.
To be honest COL you are as bad as me if not worse, now you are telling me that what I am saying is not the "correct" way to forum or discuss something and I should be stopped. At least I don't say anyone should be "stopped" from doing anything they like. I merely provide my opinion on situations I think need some light shone on. If you don't like my views, don't read or reply to them.
Maybe not stopped Rowdy, but some time away from the forum may be good for your well being.
Yeah i agree with COL if people bag others each time they post a vid or pic.... They will stop posting them and then WE ALL LOSE
good or bad I like seeing them you never know what you might see or learn.
@Rowdy I appreciate your knowledge and vast expertise but how about you save some ( not all ) of your comments for the judging tower. Cos you can be a bit negative and critical at times.
Ie: the hooked in upwind punt ( it was a sweet pic no matter how you look at it )

^^^ Thats your opinion that it was a good pic. My opinion was that I thought the way his arm was out behind him and the chicken loop wrapped up behind his back was ugly. Yes it could possibly be a nice picture for your own collection, but you need to remember we are talking about people whose sole purpose is to be paid to kite. Thus we should be seeing only the very best from them, especially when it comes to adds and pictures for companys.
To be fair my comments are often fairly negative or judgemental, but I also post very positive comments as well, I think people possibly forget this fact and only remember the negative. Thus is life.

Rowdy you are a character the forum would be pretty boring without characters like you, don't change too much, perhaps just ease up a fraction on the critical or negative comments..... I think that's all people are trying to say.

As mentioned above by the wand weilding hero, this forum would be pretty boring if everyone was just brown nosing all day every day. I give props where props are due, I also point out what I believe to be lame or silly. Pretty normal forum behaviour in my experience.
p.s. If you haven't worked it out yet (even though I have said it before many a time) not all my comments are exactly what I believe, instead I just post them to arc people up.

Like most people I assume, I come on seebreeze to get the latest news on kiting,see some good vids and pics and waste a few hours at work while awaiting the seebreeze.
Independant of your obvious conviction that you are the cream and should spread your wisdom to us poor peasants, the constant criticism and negative attitude can be tyring at best and often irritating.
I am 100% convinced that many average kiters who would love to share their stoke for our sport by uploading a vid of their latest session are not doing so because of your attitude.
I personaly appreciate seing other people's effort independant of their skill level.

are you old farts for real? Rowdy was questioning the legitamacy of professionals and competition sponsored riders, not the average joe who wants to celebrate his first backroll.
Pro's and the like put themselves out there and influence the sport throught the media and their riding style. They invited a dialougue on their riding style by publishing themselves. It's our perogative as consumers to decide/comment on whether we accept their marketing message or not.
I dont think Rowdy ever took the piss out of the average joe posting his first backroll or big air etc. And when anyone ever asks a serious question (eg c kites etc) his responses are usually quite articulate and informanitive.
