46, though it took a lttle while to say I was kiting. Lot of face planting and getting flogged.
All good now.

28, but I started fairly quick & easy as I had a very good instructor (Rob Gannon), lots of instruction DVDs and whole lot of snowboarding background.

25 - good middle ground age.. Not young enough to know it all, but not old enough to need Epsom salt baths after every session!

I was 25 when I started 4 years ago and have never looked back, I even kept kiting when I moved to Alabama for 2 1/2 years where the wind is C*%P 99% of the time and most of the time it's not, there's lightning with it . I'm back now though and already loving WA as the season's starting to kick in

About 8. My kite had a picture of an eagle on it. It was made of plastic and was awesome.

22 - Seen two guys down the local beach last summer and thought that's mad. I got some lessons a week later and some gear of coarse. Just wish i had known about kite surfing 5-6 years ago.

34.

Saw Ian Young kiting about 4-5yrs earlier and wanted to get into kiting the whole time. My shoulders cr@pped out so I couldn't surf Perf's rubbish waves anymore and made me move to kiting. So happy to have cr@p shoulders now!

Stabber didnt you complain about the bar pressure on the Synergy being to hard for your puny little arms . Maybe you should get rid of your 3 wives and get some muscle back , even if its only in 1 arm.

pffft just a bunch of kiddies - 54. Would have started sooner but all that dangly stuff looked lame (though respect now to those that do it well). Saw some stoked fat old khunt come out of the waves at margarets, and figured - it can't be that hard - hmm - maybe not
