I don't think the intention is/was to bag the WAKSA guy, you guys have done a brilliant job protecting our future and are passionate bunch of volunteers. The intention was more constructive than destructive.

I am sure this years KS will be the best you guys can do on the budget that is available, if not the best, we all understand and respect you guys for that.

But I really had to consider if I wanted to go to KS this year for financial reasons and I presume alot of the guys and gals with families etc had to as well, I think what most of us would rather have cheaper food etc rather than miss out on KS (kiting, demoing, hanging out with mates and drinking).

I read the responses from some of the WAKSA committee and it saddened me that we upset you guys considering all the sweat and time you guys put in, I don't think that was the intention but rather to securing the longevity of KS.

I been drinking again but I hope I have conveyed the right message to the WAKSA crew.

Cheers
Rich

I wish I was able to go and see what eveyone is talking about!

BUT i want to put my 2c in. This is just my opinon and im not having a go at the organisers or anything but seriously, $250 is alot of money! Thats almost the same price as a flight to Bali! There needs to be more options with the tickets. Maybe not eveyone wants to be fed 3 times a day but still enjoy Kitestock? Just a thought. Just like motorsport, not everyone who walks through the gates wants grand stand access and pit passes.

but thats just me

... reading all the concerns about the price... ... does anyone know another 4 day festival in an epic location with full catering and evening entertainment for less then $250?

I'm not a member @ the Marylebone Cricket Club back home...I don't get to go to their functions or to Lords, so why are you complaining? Surely you don't expect members to subsidise you coming to an event if you're not prepared to be a member???

Sorry Andrash, you miss the point, no one is saying its not great value, it is, but as my earlier post said if I enter myself, my wife and 2 kids over 12 my entry is $1000, I can't afford that, I have now entered myself and wife, and like many others will be catering for my children ourselves, this then means they are not part of the event as such but thats the way it has to be. Which is sad as that is not what Kitestock was conceived to be.
