"If your in NZ better off going here" is that nz? looks like somewhere good in october somewhere else. i am intrigued to know where that is - hard 80 pixels wide tho!
That is a couple of years old. Kevin (who should know better) launching at Pungarehu. It's a pretty dodgy launch even for the windsurfers, you often have to surf through the keyhole which you can see in the background. There are better spots to launch from, but Pungarehu does have this amazingly fast left hand point break.
The 80 pixel photo could be the Raglan bar, or a number of other possible West Coast channel entrances ![]()
I would use the waveslaves self launch(female)pad ...patent pending..![]()

In conjunction with the waveslave modéd chicken loop (shhh its a secret)
In conjunction with the waveslave modéd donkey dick(shhhhhh its a secret too.![]()
) No pics,,,,but it does exist,,,,,,aparently??
If only Mr slave troll would give up his secrets,,,,,,this poor guy wouldnt have had this problem and many other might have saved broken bones or even their lives.
But then Mrslave wouldnt have any carrot to dangle to keep his forum worth??![]()

The reverse launch is great in the waves btw. When you need to get your kite up fast before the sets come.
Wats the prize slave? A sneak peek at said safety devices? Haha. Ive never heard of a reverse water launch? Can anyone explain? However I'd go with 1) pump up 2) rig up & 3) roll center line around bar a good 4 ft then remaining lines back up around bar until said kite is reached. Grab board and head out into the water hopefully far enuf away from rocks and unwind. Vwula!
If it was pumping i'd find a way, reverse water launch would be a nightmare here if it was pumping, kite would get shredded by the surf, before you had a chance to launch.
Tai road which is 15km down the road would also be pumping when punagarehu is. There is a sandy beach to lauch from.
Here's Tai road doing it thing.
Kite surfing down the coast in taranaki is only for the hardcore. The meek and mild need not apply.
But if you WA guys feel like a real challenge and want to ride the best wind/wave machine in the southern hemisphere then the naki is were you need to come. oct/nov/dec.
