I am digesting the info and will come back with probably another question.
So as described before the rig is simple. I has port and stbd sheaves at the front and rear of the mast and mast crane provision for two spinnaker halyards, the port one only having a halyard which is in mast.
What I am considering is in the aft sheaves running full green 10 mm spectra in the stbd one as the main sail halyard and red speckle double braid in the port side as topping lift/spare halyard.
For the fwd sheaves I go the opposite with full red 10 mm spectra in the port sheave and speckle double braid in the stbd side as spare genoa halyard.
For the spinnaker topping lift which exits the mast just below the spreaders I propose spectra so it could double as halyard for a storm jib with spectra luff line and hoisted without having a stay for it and being attached to a chain plate at the rear of the anchor locker.
A second spinnaker halyard on the stbd crane is still under consideration.
What think ye merry men on these ideas??

Sounds spot on to me. 8mm probably enough for the spin top lift/storm jib halyard although remember to hoist the storm jib not on a stay you really want it on an endless furler, trying to hoist free sail in 40 knots isn't fun!!!
Instead of a furler I have seen a setup where you attach a 8mm dyneema stay to the top lift and also a sheave block with the storm jib halyard fed through it. When it lookes like you might need it you attach the dyneema and block, hoist and lock off he toppping lift, tighten the dyneema at the deck level and then you have a stay and halyard to hoist your storm jib on......make sense?
Some walkers have a U bolt chain plate on the bow spit for a roped on inner forestay for the stay sail if its fitted.
Jabberwock fitted a turnbuckle and wire when not in use he keeps it aside on a forward inner stay out of harm's way.
I'm thinking of doing the same and refit my stay sail sheet track after I've finished painting the deck.
Thats latter on need to get my main sail up and genoa working first hopefully some time in January.
