I would have thought most windsurfers would be very friendly as lonely old men are probably be keen to bond with other lonely old men. As for expert windsurfing advice, there is none, just people who have been doing it for a long while and are still confused about it.
I've found all windsurfers are easy to talk to. I don't particularly enjoy talking to non-windsurfers, because they never talk about windsurfing!
QLD windsurfers are kind of stingy about offering a ride to someone in need, though...
