Wiped up and down at 45 degrees to the edge on one side of the fin. Only light wipes. Just enough to take the edge off. I'd previously squared it off with an aluminium block and 600 paper so the two edges were very sharp. Now one edge is dull and the other sharp, and its killed the whistling. Didnt go any faster though :(

Indeed,

Fluidmechanics is referred to as one of the few remaining black arts.

Its up there with Quantum Physics as far as I am aware
