SUP is getting huge, the corona had so many SUPers out every day it was awesome. There were a number of guys and girls that had also thrown sails up and were having a great time. One guy was out on a Starboard 9x33 wide point and was having a ball. I reckon that whatever gets you out on the water is a great thing regardless of if its a kite, sail board surfboard, SUP or booger. The other thing that will attract young blokes to SUP is the huge number of young women that are into the sport and apart from being very easy on the eye are also ripping whenever they hit the water.
I was at the Mambo, way too many Sups.
Robby Naish had a quote in a movie a few years ago. Kinda funny as it pre-dated Kitesurfing and Suping, but very related.

Barn your quoting R Naish now?????????? Didn't you, just a few months ago give me a hard time cause I said something positive about Robbie? Wonder what Mr Naish would say now? Cause in the movie 'That First Glide' he sings the positives of SUPing, so now if you say that thats just him selling SUPing to the masses then surely the same goes for the quote he making about sailboarding.
