So would I notice any difference between the 95 - 105 Rocket? Thinking stability for subplaning and uphauling heavy sails.. I find slogging very tiring and would rather waste energy holding down a bigger board that would plane earlier..I'm getting older and I want to make sailing as easy as possible.Not in my 30-40's any more..
From the windsurf article it sounds like I am using the best combo for my needs - Racesails / cambered on Freeride boards..

Well when you are getting older than a 105 rocket can work for you, but i would keep the 95 liter and don't sell it...
And if you sell the rocket 95 then a quiver of rocket 125 , 105 and 3S 86 will be a superb one.
The 105 is a good board and will make uphaul your sail a bit easier than the smaller 95.
To keep the feeling lighter and more 'crisp' i would look for an LTD if i were you (and maybe a smaller fin)

yes shortlist is a 105 rocket or a 110 ltre something..Wondering if Ill regret having 2 boards so close together - 95 - 105 if I get a rocket..Just want something pretty stable to uphaul the heavy 7.2m in slop.

Thanks. My problem is lack of funds..I have to choose from boards under $600 which doesn't give you much choice. If I was cashed up I'd get a custom CA board made - problem solved..
Ive seen 105 rockets for sale at my budget but no 115s so I haven't considered the 115 as none seem to be around or they are too expensive..
I think that JP FSW 107 would be a good buy, it looks in very good condition, put 2 footstraps on back and it will be great

Fairly likely Sue that if you got a 105 Rocket then you might not need the 95, or if you found a late model 115 then it would probably eclipse your 125 in performance! Have you considered asking on Seabreeze if any Rocket owners are interested in a 95-105 swap? Or maybe a 125-115 swap? Sounds like you need and use the 125 more than the 95 so could be the one to go in favour of keeping the 125 for light winds.

Good idea-If I did swap it would be swap the 125 for a 115ltre but Im a bit worried that 115 might be too much pain with the 7.2m in 5kts..( not that i deliberately go out in 5kts but it can sometimes be 5kts with occasional 10kt puffs).This time of year is typical -I've sailed at least once a week in the last month but at least 3 of those were 5 - 15kts and more on the 5-10kts with occasional puff).

I wouldn't imagine that the 115 would much be much different, stability wise, in slogging conditions as there's only about 3cm difference in width between the 'average' 115 & 125 Rocket (looking at the specs on the Tabou website, the width of the 115 has got a bit wider since they were first released). Also, if you used the larger 125 fin then don't think you would lose much at all. Apparently the 115 has the widest wind range and sail carrying capacity of all of the Rocket range (suggest you read the comments from 115 users on Boards and iwindsurf forum links I included in a previous topic). Plus you would still have 50 litres more volume than your weight floating you with a 115.
When I decided I really wanted to get a Rocket 95 last year, I looked around (incl on Seabreeze) and couldn't find a used one. Placed a 'Rocket 95 wanted' ad on Seabreeze and didn't have to wait very long to get a response (400km away in Perth which was ok). You never know what's out there till you try!
Another thing, do you really need to have 4 boards to cover your usual sailing conditions? If you currently have a 78 Pocket Wave as well as 95 & 125 Rockets and don't really want to part company with either Rocket then wouldn't another board be a bit much to choose from?

Be hard to carry them too. I was thinking of only bringing 2- 3 with me generally .Keep the big one in the ceiling for 10-15ktsdays this time of year when its a bit dodgy- or if I did get a 115 maybe sell the big one if the 115 does the job.Decisions decisions..
Ok. I'm not sure if I've made the right decision but I've put a wanted ad out for a swap - my 125- 2008 rocket for a 115- 2010 with cash adjustment.See what happens..
