Maui Sails: Time to go back to the grand master designer.... Sick of using imitations....

Did you see even KP bought a Maui sails Boom.........

This boom, which is becoming a bit of a legend in Seabreeze, is available at Ian's store in O'Connor, Perth (forget the name). It did look and feel pretty impressive.

Ian: So I can expect a discount on my next repair right!

SSD / Delta = You support the local guy but on holiday you travel north or south respectively

Sorry for the slow reply Windy,

If you travel north in WA coast you stop in Geraldton and invariable end up wanting/buying the art work that is an SSD board. (Nebbian admitted as much)

If you travel South you end up in Pad Redman territory.

These reputations are gold!
I would love someone associated with a brand to explain its reputation.
Like the Delta's have a wide tail, particularly under the front foot.
Is this because they anticipate sailors schlogging out at Margaret River,
were Stoney makes some pretty tiny machines - but then again he does not have a problem with lack of wind.

How does a brand's origin influence their designs?

How can you have a wide tail under the front foot Ash? Are you facing backwards?

Local influences on design - that's a very interesting thing to contemplate. When its gusty and I'm sailing my MP 75 I find myself saying "What f'wit designed this thing. Anyone with half a brain would know it aught to be wider in tail than this". Then I get a (rare) strong consistent wind and the thing is a pure delight. Its meant for Maui not Brisvegas.
