Thumbs Up

The river at Nambucca Heads is now so silted up its unsailable. Back 20 or 10 years ago it was different. There were good runs at low or high tide at the river mouth or behind the initial sand bank. I saw the river around Christmas from the Captain Cook lookout.

There is so much sand in there now. Its really sad because thats where I learned to windsurf. Where I learned there are big sandbars where vegetation is growing.

The council or whoever is in charge ought to get off their arses and get some sand dredging going. It would not cost them anything as the sand could be sold. The greenies might say its no good but thats a load of ****. Whats no good is a river choked up with sand.
