Let me count the ways...
1. Before you get out of bed in the morning you are listening for the sound of the wind.
2. First thing you do when you get up is look out the window to see how much the trees are moving.
3. Instead of reading the newspaper while you eat your breakfast you read the Seabreeze forecast, the Seabreeze forums and the GPSTC blogs.
4. You have 6 weather sites on your favourites list.
5. You can tell when the sea breeze is in without even thinking about it because of the subtle change in sound of the wind and the smell of the air
6. You consult the 7 day forecast before committing to social engagements.
7. You let your furniture fall apart and your wardrobe get outdated because you'd rather spend your money on windsurfing gear.
8. When most people are snuggling up in front of a warm fire you're getting ready to go for a sail.
9. You have so much cold weather gear it takes longer to dress up in it than to rig, but hey, it might not be windy again for a week.
10. You don't stop sailing until you're totally exhausted/ run out of wind/ run out of daylight.
11. You've had to build a windsurfing shed so your husband can get into the other one.
12. You don't have a full time job because it would interfere with windsurfing too much.
13. You're not embarrassed to admit to these things...

You can tick all the boxes above; then you have a nightmare of you breaking your acl knee ligament having a blast in Maui; being told you can't sail for 9 mnths after the OP and rehab; then realise it's not a dream but real:( Insanity!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bugger! Great profile shot.

you have a 7 seater car that only fits one person

Mine fits 3, but two of them are really squeezed up beside all the windsurfing gear...

Mines a 5 seater but hardly fits me with all the gear in there..I had a couple of kiters walk past one day and exclaim at my claustrophobic little car...

He did build it. That's how much he wanted to be able to get back into his shed!
And it's really nice! Even a Rollador on the front so I can lift the boards straight in and onto the rack.

My partner was going to buy a van for bushwalking etc and let me use it for sailboarding until stupid me commented on how I drip water into my car when i reach in to get gear..[}:)]grr Now if we get one I'm not allowed to use it for sailboarding.. Me and my big mouth..[}:)]

Thanks SBC; Will be bigger and better next year; already booked for Maui next year late July; (truely not as bad the flight over as your neck complains). Few years ago I couldn't walk let alone sailboard now this I'm sure will make me stronger just like you!
