Yeh I don't agree with a lot of his observations comparing negatives of the PR - except it's easier to pack. But even that can be sorted if you get good enough and practised enough, with enough water time under your belt. wave riding - yeh probs the PP

I will say for packing and redeploying constantly - he is correct on that. Then again i get near 100 percent redeployment on the PR and i'm quick to get it away.

PR def goes upwind at a far greater angle, has a much bigger wind range and has a lower accessible wind range usability to get up due to its aspect and the way it drives into the window without falling back.

It's the same as a mid aspect versus a high aspect kite. Same same. Physics is physics.

I wasn't overly impressed with the V1 Pocket Rocket, not much of an improvement compared to my V1 Maliko's. Bu t having purchased a 2.5 Power Pack to fit under my 2.9 Maliko I'm hopeful the V2 PR will carry many of the upgrades that the PP has brought to market. Release seems to be April, right at the end of our season.

He now has a "fool" proof stow and redeploy parawing with significant compromises that he doesn't know he's making. The equipment expense is large and it always makes me wonder why the need to influence peoples expenditure if other than helping someone not waste money on the wrong product. I guess the review represents other parawingers who don't know any better and for them the PP is the right choice. I can't agree with anything he said when comparing the products.

I just bought a second-hand PRv1. I think an extra piece of nylon string should be glued to each rib, perpendicular to the profile of the leading edge. It seems that most of them have slipped out. Do others have experience with this?

This occurs on the very early ones. Only a month or so later pr seem to have this stitched in.
i just got kits from ozone under warranty to stick new ones in on the opposite side of the existing ones. It takes about 20 minutes and the kits should be cheap as.
it improved my 3.6 and 3m when in powered up conditions. My 2.4 cam a month later and is stitched.
