Agreed, $100 mil to one winner is too much and it would be better shared amongst 20 people with $5 mil each. But I'd rather decide who those 20 people are than let chance decide

Yes being 'nice' is important, so is helping people.

You talk about winning 100mil being too much for someone and state that they wouldn't know what to do with it.
In your case I guess that's true.

Because, you only seem to think materialistically about the winning of a large amount of money like that.
You say you can and would buy a heap of stuff/toys etc with that money, but for you there seems to be a limit to what you can think of to use the money on.

So you claim you'd use the money to help other people by giving some of it away to people.

Like I said, lack of imagination.

Giving people money does not necessarily help them at all, most of the time, giving people money for nothing only leads them to materialistic pursuits, the welfare system proves that.

Sure, you win 100mil, go crazy buy heaps of toys and stuff, spoil your friends, you won it, you deserve it and can do with it what you want, I know I would.

But you claim you would want to help other people with this amount of money that is too much for you to deal with.

Using that (excess) money to make a difference in people's lives is a much more effective way to help people than giving them a lump sum.

If you really wanted to help people, use that money properly, go build schools in third world countries, set up some foundations, scholarships, support causes and organizations that make a difference to people's lives by giving them opportunities.
By doing this, you will help a hell of a lot more people than you would by giving a few lump sums to people who would most likely just buy stuff, which in a way is giving them help, but not the type of help I suspect you're hinting at.

People need opportunities, not hand outs, money like that could provide a multitude of opportunities to a multitude of people.

Imagination is not a fanciful word, it's a powerful tool.

Chances of 1st number dropped being yours is 1/45, second number 1/44, 3rd number 1/43, etc.
times all these together and should get the odds of winning. Prob same as above. Is this correct ?

my maths says 7 from 45, the seven all different and in any order is
7/45 x 6/44 x 5/43 x 4/42 x 3/41 x 2/40 x 1/39

= 1/ 2.2036 x 10-8

= 45,379,620
