Oh!! While I am at it, I think we should exclude discussion of poxy Delicas compared to poxy Land Cruisers,
tits, boobs or whatever you want to call them, RC aeroplanes, top jokes, top
videos, financial matters, getting drunk on Friday night or any other night and a
host of other things that have been discussed on the "General Discussion" section of the forum in the past.
So let's get this defined here.
If it does not relate to swimming, diving, water polo, synchronised swimming, kayaking, canoeing, S.U.P., surfing, wind surfing, kite surfing, sailing of yachts, fishing, power boat racing, water skiing, wake boarding, spear fishing, scuba diving and a host of other "WATER SPORTS", it is not allowed to be discussed in the "GENERAL DISCUSSION" section of the Sea Breeze Forum.
It does not matter what the rules are as long as one knows WHAT the rules ARE.
In the Land Sailing section we have regular contributors from Ireland, England, Spain, U.S.A., New Zealand, Canada, Chile, W.A., S.A., Vic., Tas., N.S.W. and Qld.
One has to ask the question, "Is the 'General Discussion' section of the Sea Breeze forum the private domain of 20 odd contributors who live in Perf or nearby, or is it truly eclectic place where any person is welcome????
Cisco, almost everyone here seems to have no trouble understanding the rules. You and petermac are the exceptions. Let me spell it out for you one more time:
Rule 1 - Keep it fun
It's really not that complicated.
did pm33 ever post anything at all related to watersports? I think he joined solely for the purpose of spamming conspiracy theories. IMHO a spammer just like the serendipity or nigerian emails.
Not as though he was a windsurfer/kitesurfer/ sup er etc talking about the occasional general off topic theory.
Freedom of speech. I'm a fan of free speech. I'm also a fan of appropriate speech.
Most of us don't swear or discuss sexual acts in front of children, because it's not appropriate. There's a good chance that the parent of the child may well endevour to "censor" you if you did.
You can argue "freedom of speech", and "anti-censorship" to the parent (whilst swearing) until you're blue in the face, but most people would agree, swearing & discussing sex acts is not appropriate, or welcome in front of children.
What I'm suggesting is that the community has given a strong enough indication that chemtrails, 911, fluride, etc etc are not welcome topics, or appropriate. Now & then, ok, but repeated postings, is unwelcome.
Some other examples of unwelcomeness: swearing at a primary school ... promoting cheese filled croisants at a weight watchers meeting .. promoting smoking at a cancer support group.
Freedom of speech -vs- appropriate speech.
Seabreeze: Sports, water sports, fun, good times, health, fitness, goodness, light hearted fun banter.
