I wouldn't say we have good nutrition in modern society. A lot of foods are contaminated in various ways, refined, and stripped of most of their nutritional value. Maybe life expectancy is longer now because in western countries we have pretty much got rid of diseases that killed a lot of people in the past, such as TB.
More people are living longer now. But that doesn't necessarily mean people are healthier. I think everyone knows older people with diabetes, heart problems, dementia.. ect..
I think by definition I would say that someone that is alive at age 70, is healthier than someone that died at 60.
Nutrition? Sure it's not perfect, but when have you last heard of someone in Australia that had malnutrition, and died from it?
Gizmo that is ridiculous.
That is not Nigella at 51.
Also remember that Nigella has plastic surgery, makeup, a stylist, soft lighting and lenses etc etc not a freeze frame while talking.
I don't agree with Mckeiths ideas or diets but keep it real.
and the camera man is threatened with a mega lawsuit, followed by death if he pans below her upper waist

I guess it depends how you look at the definition of malnutrition. No one would argue that Australians are under fed..
A person can have enough to eat and still die from the effects of malnutrition by eating ****e food.

...and, how often have you heard of this happening lately? Just because it can happen doesn't mean its common.

Malnutrition: "Poor nutrition because of an insufficient or poorly balanced diet or faulty digestion or utilization of foods."
If someone eats rubbish food regularly, gets sick, and dies because of it, they have died as a result of their own ignorance/stupidity, and malnutrition..
