Yeah they need Guns, they're always at war.. Maybe start by building a society not based on violence and war might have been an idea.
A Cuban, a Frenchman, an American, and an American lawyer are riding on a train. The Cuban begins praising one his nation's most famous products.
"In Cuba", he says, "we make the world's finest cigars. Just smell this beautiful hand-rolled cigar. Furthermore, we make them in such abundance that we can waste them with impunity". Saying that, he tosses the cigar out the window of the speeding train.
The Frenchman responds, "Oui, that is quite true, and in my country we make the finest cheeses". He displays a hunk of fine cheese to the others and says, "France is famous for its fine cheeses, and we produce so much that we too can waste them without a thought." Saying that, he casts the cheese out the window of the train.
The American gets up and throws the lawyer out the window.![]()

How many American tourists does it take to change a light bulb?
Fifteen. Five to figure out how much the bulb costs in the local currency, four to comment on "how funny-looking" local lightbulbs are, three to hire a local person to change the bulb, two to take pictures, and one to buy postcards in case the pictures don't come out.![]()

Geez you all miss the bit where Beaglefriend said all of those bar one have actually happened?
And for all the peace loving greenie types here is a couple of your heroes:
“If someone has a gun and is trying to kill you, it would be reasonable to shoot back with your own gun.”
Dalai Lama XIV
Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India,
history will look upon the act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest.
-- Mahatma Gandhi
yes that is right greenie leftist politically correct hippie types - Ghandhi and the Dalai Lama are pro gun.
That must make you cry into your chardonnay as you plan the next land rights for gay whales protest at the tent embassy.
I think in a crowded cinema if someone came in shooting and everybody had guns no one would have walked out.
Picture a dark crowded room..
Bang Bang Bang....
100 people stand up and pull out their revolver and aim....
Who are they aiming at ???
The poor guy who has just done the same thing as them...
The carnage begins.....
Just saying...![]()
Just received my Firearm licence in the mail today.
A+B longarm
Class A: Rimfire and Shotgun
Class B: Centre fire (higher calibre)
getting two guns:
Marlin xt 22 (for bunnies !YUM!)
lever action shotty 12g
Marlin xt22 is a great rifle and good value for the price.
Hopefully you didn't get the cheaper version of the level shotty IAC if I remember correctly as it is prone to jamming. Cant remember if it was IAC or Chiappa but one of them sucks...
Sorry mate... Hope you chose well..
Im actually glad you reminded me, had a laugh remembering the news coverage ![]()
As for the dangers involved with different types of guns; I have a pump action .308win in the safe thats accurate and fatal at 500+ m and spits out 5 projectiles pretty quick, but can't have a shotgun with the same number of shots thats generally less than lethal at 50 yards. My issue with the ban is that it was a blanket ban, irrespective of the putative threat to public safety. Including shotguns (less than 5 round capacity) and low powered rifles (.22lr) was over stepping the objectives of increasing public safety in many a peoples view.
^^^^ Yeh. Trust politicians and more particularly bureaucrats who pull their strings to come up with regulations that are nonsensical and contradictory.
Despite the rantings of many on this thread, no one has been able to reasonably justify IMO, how the "need" to own semi-automatic weapons (not the right, but the need) can be justified by 'civilians'....
Just to be clear, it's the AK47/AR15/SKS stuff; high calibre, powerful weapons...the ones that usually get used/owned by the military. Go on, tell me why someone needs to own one of them?
You've obviously missed my point, so I'll ask a different question:
Why do many Americans feel the "need" to own military style/grade weapons such as AK47/AR15/SKS or similar weapons, indeed larger calibre/more powerful weapons?
Rights to own acknowledged, but what's the actual "need" to own?
And please, don't tell me that deer/bear/feral animals need to be hunted with such weapons....
