This is how gun control works;
First they want registration.
Next they ban semi auto rifles.
Handguns next.
Then they say you must be a member of a club and the weapons must be stored there.
Then they go to the club and take them all away for good.
Every step of the way they say it's only this little restriction and nothing more but a few years later they come back with tighter restrictions and take more guns and every time they say this will be all we won't restrict any further.
That's pretty much how it went down in England.
It is in fact a grand scheme to eventually take all the guns, if you read the text coming from gun control groups this is exactly what they are saying.
It's also an international conspiracy funded by the U.N. and other one world government type groups.
Not making any of this up, just listen to their words.
Beaglebuddy you have been listening to too much Alex Jones and the lizard man David Icke.
Listen to CNN or FOX news if you want to hear the truth ![]()
I apologise for my comment on not being the brightest bunch but faark me you dont half make yourselves vulnerable to such attacks when some clown shoots up a cinema and then this happens.
"Data released by Colorado's Bureau of Investigations shows just before the shooting there were 880 applications for gun ownership background checks.
The day after, that number had jumped to 1,243.
From an outsiders point of veiw that is just madness. You said Americans will solve the problem themselves, FFS nearly doubling the amount of guns in the same cinema is gonna solve the problem?
Again sorry for insulting your intelegence but the American peoples solution is obviously not working? Good luck with it man.

Obviously America as a culture has accepted that the freedom to own firearms of the categories available there, and the benifits they provide out weight the risks. Just as we in Australia have the freedom to own and use motor vehicles, even though we are fully aware that every year thousands of innocent people will be killed of injured through their use. This can also be said for the freedom we have to operate power tools, industrial equipment, smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol or even use electricity knowing it has come from a coal fired power station that throws toxic and radioactive particles into the atmosphere that is widely accepted to negatively affect health.
It all depends where you (as an individual or society) draw the line in the sand to divide acceptable risk/damage and safety. They possess the so called 'evil assault weapons' as that is what the government has access too, and therefore to ensure the peoples freedom (not so much now but who knows what will occur in the future with financial crisis, potential climate changes, food shortages, etc) to have a government that does what the people say, and not vice versa.
Instead of banning weapons from the law abiding people in the USA, like the government has done here, why not target the illegal distribution and use of these tools first? Data shows quite clearly that if you disarm the law abiding population in the USA, crime/assault/murder increase (see Washington, New York, Chicago - I think they were the big three with very tight gun ownership laws).
I wouldn't feel 100% safe walking around in Sydney, or living in the suburbs at present.
Were the people you spoke to Aussies, or Americans? All of the yanks I've spoken to don't feel afraid to walk streets or threatened by potential gun violence...
Im hearin all the arguments I just can't get my head around how more guns out there makes it safer.
I know statistics can be a bit misleading but one I saw many years ago I think after the Columbine massacre was that if you own a gun it has a 99% more chance of being used against a direct member of your family than a self defence incidence. That sorta means suicides/ kids accidently shooting themselves/ murder suicides etc.
Im in the Philippines and they have a gun culture similar to the US and it is a scary place and you sort of realise how cheap life is and how quick it ends.

I can understand the right to bear arms for safety, as in the following tube, but from memory, the kids' guns weren't loaded or in fact in condition to be shot, regardless, good outcome. The kids were committing armed robbery & for that you have to be prepared to not walk away.
On the other hand, what if a kid is playing harmlessly with a toy gun and a senior cit decides to put a stop to them?
You will be wishing they didn't ban guns when;
1. Someone or a gang with a gun or even a knife breaks into your home and assaults you and your family.
2. Well into the future during a breakdown of civilized society a roving mob comes to your house and tries to take all your stuff and assault you and your family and the police seem to be busy elsewhere.
3. In the future the government tells you that because you are a certain ethnic group that has economically exploited another ethic group your family and most of those in your town are required to relinquish your homes to the disenfranchised ethnic group.
4. Because someone from your ethnic group has killed someone from another ethnic group it must be made even, a random lottery has determined that your family is required to surrender one member for extermination.
5. Because a neighbor has informed the regime that you have made subversive comments you and your family are required to report to a re-education camp.
6. It has been determined that too many male babies are being born, therefore you are required to surrender your son for sex reassignment surgery.
Sound really far fetched?
Well all of the above have already happened excepting the last one... as of now.
