How about a mardigra for straight people? Should we be proud? Is it wrong to say that?

What I find interesting in todays world is that if you flip the coin how wrong the opposite looks.

Went to a dance party 2 years ago, only "darker" people, and party was all about that. I had no probs being there, naturally got all the right moves, they called me white chocolate .

But imagine if you had a whites party? hmmmm sounds wrong.

Discuss - what happens when you flip things? Examples of wrongness?

I think that brings up the race card.

Reverse racism, tricky stuff. Or is it just racism? Its not just black and white is it??

The whole bag. Gender, sex, race, all of it.

Reverse racism doesn't exist. It's just racism.

What really pisses me off is what they call "positive discrimination".

If 30 blokes put in for a job, they will be assessed on their merits.
However let's say there are 2 vacancies and 30 ppl apply but 3 are female.
It may be the case that they are rated 28th, 29th and 30th, but one of them will get a position as it is desirable to have a certain percentage of females.

It has happened to me on a work course that a lot of guys put in for (very desirable course) but no chicks. They went and told a chick she was doing the course when she didn't want to (!) and a few guys missed out. She then booked off sick to avoid it, but it was too late to slot one of the fellas in. fkd.

You have no recourse through EEO as it is legal to do that.

I hear you on that Mark.

And what really annoys me is peeps like her majesty Quentin Brice(?) weigh in and say they need quotas......

For fk sake - really? Maybe they should have programs for social/gender/minority stigma?

The quota thing sh!ts me badly. Why should we have to have x percentage of females in politics or whatever? If they are not interested in it let them be!

I can agree a little with having Muslims and Hindu's and whatever racial mix in the Govt departments as customers need to be able to approach somebody who understands etc. But why try and force a 1% Muslim and 10% Samoan and 2.3% Aboriginal employee mix in the fire brigade or Police or Army if they are not interested in applying?

I shall continue.....

I remember at school a lot of focus to help the girls progress.... but seems it all backfired for quite a few..... not their fault... but the idiologies forced onto many, creating victums where there weren't, and telling people it was wrong to want to have kids and setup a nice family

If you have a bit of a dig around you will find that there is plenty of evidence that all of this sh!te we have to put up with today was a written agenda many decades ago.

Anyone who has lived as long as I have,(56), or longer, will confirm that we have lost a huge amount of ground when it comes to family, community and nationality.

Structuring our economy, (it is fabricated however much you like to think it is a free market) so that women for the most part have to work, well any dingbat could tell you that if you farm your kids out to care it is likely to cause a breakdown in the relationship. If you foist rampant p00fterism on folk it is likely to backfire. If people are taught to revere bad behaviour it sets a precedence, which is why film stars are encouraged to behave badly.

Yes we should be proud to be straight. It is the only reason I admire Pauline Hanson. If more of the farkers told it straight we would not be having this discussion.

Apparently some gay people are not gay by choice. Not many options to penetrate if you are and you gotta get in some where to load out!!!!

As for equality I could have got a fly in fly out mature age apprenticeship in seconds if I were aboriginal or female, instead It took 2 years.. I'm not mad now.. I was but it's maybe just payback. Like saying sorry to make others feel better.. Still ****ed me.. But I'm above it.

A TV program for a minority group. Nothing wrong with it. It would be like a local Windsurfing program on SBS. Nothing wrong with that either

The only way to have true equality is to have NO rules and merely respect everyone and treat them the way you would expect to be treated yourself

Surely now that the Caucasian race is a minority (16%) racial jokes towards other races would now be acceptable?

Apparently not

Yep, I've seen it happen to girls around me, get sucked into the whole Sex in the City thing 'THEY CAN HAVE IT ALL'. They can sleep around, have a career and still land the Alpha male and have kids at 35.. Yeah right, they end up in debt, with an incurable STD, too overweight to land a good guy and end up on IVF spending thousands.

Ok, maybe not as bad as this but definetly know girls who have had all these things happen to them.
