We've got positive discrimination NOW. It's been happening for years. One gender gets the top jobs, the other gender gets the scraps. That's the situation, this IS fact, its not "perceived inequality".

The paid maternity leave has just put another gunshot wound in the gut of women who aspire to be more than a vacuous bit of fluff, a career driven lesbian man hater or a powerhungry ice queen.
Try being a 37 year old PhD. student and getting a job whilst listening to prospective emloyer panels bleating about the maternal clock ticking and the prospect of taking paid maternity leave, despit the fact that the individual in question (my girlfriend) clearly stating she has NO desire to have children. The interviewers are supposedly educated people, but are predominantley male and 'old school tie' types with their heads up their asses.
Women and men are different, but not as different as what Aristotle etc claimed back in the day when the earth was flat.
