Fred Reed describes how political correctness is causing huge injustices in America. If that kid who was shot in Florida had been Chinese or white then would there have been the huge raucus?

If a Hispanic guy shot an unarmed white kid I suspect he would have been charged for murder, not let off on 'self defence', so no, there probably wouldn't have been the same ruckus.

I've read stuff from Marx and Engels, Rachael Carson, through to authors you probably consider to be loony right wingers. I think there is knowledge to be gained from reading widely. I don't believe the labels of left and right wing are accurate. The radical 'left' often isn't all that different to the radical 'right'.

Tell me before you bag off Pat Buchanan, have you actually read any of his writings and can you critically analyse what he has written? If you haven't you are better off keeping quiet. Can you also point out the factual errors in what Reed wrote? Seems a pretty accurate description of how journalism and the law works in America.

Well , it's always hard to know where to start with these "political correctness gone mad" topics. There are usually SO many assumptions that you make from the start that you seem totally OK in accepting. Why do you accept them ? well they fit into your view of the world. Is it factual that there is a huge problem in the Sudanese community? Australian Crime Statistics please, not some hugely biased, right wing commentators, cherry picked ramblings on what he postulates about this or that. OK. So lets assume you get those figures and they show a big spike in the crime level in African communities.......So, what does THAT mean???? Does that mean that the trend is real?, is it statistically important?. What does this high crime rate tell us about our community, our immigration policy, multiculturalism, the "character" of Africans in general? All to often racists hide behind rallying calls for other racists. Dog whistling is the way most racists roll. And you can see them coming a mile off. It's usually "Australia's overpopulated".......and when you unpack their idea, it's usually just a vehicle for "I only want white people in Australia". There are hundreds of these smoke screens that get trotted out everyday....."Australia for Australians", "Australia , love it or leave it". They're just racist veils covering the ugly side of our society. You say "because it would be politically incorrect to state the truth".....You're assuming that's the truth....is it?. And anyway what does it mean if you have a gang of 50 angry kids doing crime. Does that mean we cast a racist slur on the many thousands of peaceful, law abiding African folks in live in Australia?
