WOW don't the media love a shark story.
This is more SUP than kiting related but since I started this thread I will post in here.
I went out for a down wind paddle with a fellow breezer this morning, we had gone a few k's and were just out from the Mullaloo SLC when we noticed a plane going back and forward then the 7/Wespac? chopper, on the last pass they were closer and It looked they may have been filming us.
We wondered if something was up so headed in a bit, next thing we notice signs going up on the beach, everyone out of the water and a ranger wave frantically, so we turned and headed in.
By the time we got to shore there was camera's everywhere, ABC, 9, local papers all after a story, apparently someone had reported sighting a shark and so the beaches had been closed.
The thing is there wasn't much of a story, we hadn't seen anything.
Well my paddle made the photo.

I hate to tell everyone this, but one day you are going to die may as well contribute to the circle of life whilst doing so... ![]()
Haven't seen the paper yet but.....
Facts its is whale migration season and there is more sharks about, if you dont like it swim in a pool or kite on a lake. Persionally I feel way more in danger driving on the Perth freeway with all the muppets.I think SHARK DEATH IS WAY MORE DRAMATIC than most others. If someone dies of a heart attack cause they eat the food that gets sold on most corners we dont get horrified and start torching Macdonalds. Infact I bet there is crew in their boats chugging on ciggies right now going faark lets kill great whites before they kill us...The funny thing is the Shark doesnt have a brain to make choice the same as us its living the best way it knows how. We make choices every day that we know may kill ...Drinking, smoking, driving or killing everything in the ocean.
