Anyone else want to join me?

Any takers for a great opportunity to go kiting with others in some remote areas only accessible by boat ?
Just think for a minute, nothing else to do but kite
The food is prepared for you, the boat sails motors to where the wind is
You just gota catch a couple of fish and pump your kite up ![]()
And in between session we get to fish, snorkle, dive and walk on land and meet the locals.
Sh!t yah
Still waiting on the final pricing loch
"in the loop" are running it
It looks like the flights will come in around $560 to port moresby which aint bad.
I have been watching the wind up there since last year and that lower part of PNG seams to get the same consitant trade wind that blow for most of our winter like Lizard island gets.
Certainly will be dearer than our fiji trip as its all on a dive boat, but a different experiance is to be had ![]()
I still looking at a Fiji trip, but looking late august/early sept or when the tides are good
a note on flights to Port Moresby.
if you fly airniugini - they allow surf boards to travel free no questions asked no addition to your allowance of 20kgs. So pack your gear into a surf board bag and enjoy the flight!
If you fly virgin - you just get your 20kgs, but if you book via www.apng.com its still the same plane but you get 32kgs of luggage allowance.
The Golden Dawn just got back from cairns last week after a significant re-fit, so she is all clean and running smooth.
Hey wdric,
I live in Port Moresby and would love to join you guys on the boat. You will need to confirm the dates for me so that I can submit my leave request at work, but I'm totally keen. Let me know if you are serious with this.

Alotau has an annual man raping festival where the women rape the men.
My mates from high school are from there.
I'm not joking by the way.
im going to the 14 day trip on the 25th looks awsome. still will look at goin to the snow but i think im due for a new kite instead though
Hi all I have lived in PNG for a total of 12 years plus, Kiting can be awesome over here, with SE tradies, warm aqua waters and the culture experience, but be warned it can be disturbing to some as it is a third World Country! this also brings a unique experience. I have two groups of Ozzie kiting mates coming for a kiting boating/camping trip 5 or a 7 days which we are organzing more like a boys/mates kiting away trip should be a blast.
Ps; Girls raping men or any local Sex not a good idea as Aids is 1 in 5 :-(
Cheers
I had a chat with Capt Craig from the Golden Dawn this weekend (was kiting with him on saturday) the itinerary he has planned will be amazing. The island and reef chains he will take you guys to will really blow your minds. Very remote and perfect for kiting.
water temp is still 29C off shore and warmer in the shallow lagoons.
^^^^^^^^ Hey dude whats the dates & numbers and do we get a free can of coke on the beach at the end
if its too hot
The epic 14 day trip (the best one
)
Fly into Port Morsby 27th july
Overnight in Port Morsbay on a boat and fly to Alotau 28th
Cruise around on an 80ft boat for a while
Back in Port Moresbay 11th August and over night on same boat.
Fly out of PNG 12th
Just look up "In the loop" or PM Marvin for details
I think there was only a couple of spots on the 14 day trip
But there are other trips planned over the next few months
Sounds like a great trip Ric but I've already got other plans, damn what a shame..... I will just have to make do with Mauritius![]()
